9-1-1 Telecommunicators of the Year

Congratulations to the following Telecommunicator of the Year award recipients who were honored on Sept. 9, 2005 at a luncheon held at the DoubleTree Hotel:

 Service To Other Counties

The District recently came to the aid of Montgomery County when a tornado ripped through the Clarksville area in the early morning hours of January 22, 1999.  Unfortunately, the building that houses the centralized communications department for dispatching emergency personnel sustained damages.  The Rutherford County Emergency Communications District Mobile 9-1-1 Unit was setup in Clarksville to provide temporary dispatch facilities for Montgomery County while the communications department was being relocated to a different part of the building.  The Communications Unit was in use by Montgomery County from January 22 until February 1, 1999.
