RCECD is proud to maintain innovative and top of the line equipment in order to provide the best quality service possible to the residents of Rutherford County.  We would like to feature some of our equipment on this page.

Central Recorder

The District provides a digital central recorder to all Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP)  in Rutherford County at no charge to the individual department.   They are currently recording telephone and radio information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at each location.  Information is transferred to cassette tapes to be used by the departments. The district also furnishes on site instant recording equipment at each PSAP.

Positron's EXPRESS(TM) TDD Keyboard

This space saving keyboard acts as a fully functional PC compatible keyboard, as well as a complete Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD).  The keyboard features a small LCD display for showing TDD, program, and system messages; a user activated 24 character thermal printer for creating hardcopies of TDD messages; and 30 default TDD messages with quick access keys.  Easy installation and a quick reference Operator's Guide allows for easy operation. 

We currently have three of these keyboards in our Mobile PSAP unit.
