Cleo

Thank You Rutherford County P.A.W.S. for adding Cleo to our family! In early November, my 11-year old cat, Cody, went missing, and each day afterwards I visited Rutherford County P.A.W.S. to see if he had been found.  The employees were and are always so nice and compassionate to me.  After searching for Cody nearly a month, I found Cleo.  When I first saw her, she was so friendly and loving.  She played with my finger and rubbed against my hand for the brief moment we were together.  The entire night I thought of her, and when I returned the following day to once again look for Cody, she did the same thing.  I told my co-worker about the little calico cat I saw at the shelter, and having also adopted a cat from another shelter, she suggested that I might want to consider adopting her.  Thinking all day about my co-worker’s suggestion, when I returned to shelter that same day to look for Cody I inquired about adopting Cleo.  The volunteer told me Cleo was not yet available to adopt but would be available at Noon the next day.   The following day, November 29th, I returned to adopt Cleo. On December 5th, after a brief visit to the vet to be spayed, I brought her home.

She immediately became acclimated right away. (She’s a computer wiz and loves to type and play with the cursor!) Cleo even has a big sister, Chloey, and after a well-coordinated introduction period, you’ll find they love to sleep and play together. Cleo has even found her favorite place to sleep, an orange tree in front of the window. Thank You Rutherford County P.A.W.S. for bringing Cleo into our home and all the wonderful work you do with homeless animals!  Aaron Holmes, North Maple Street, Murfreesboro
