The Rutherford County Communications Center offers 24 hour-a-day assistance to residents of Rutherford County by organizing and coordination emergency response of emergency response of Emergency Medical Services. In addition to providing pre-arrival instructions to 911 callers, the Communication Center dispatchers are also responsible for notifying all necessary personnel as well as other agencies or special response teams needed, while maintaining a detailed record of incidents. Emergency Medical Services Communication Center works closely with other local law enforcement agencies to provide the safest community possible for the citizens of Rutherford County. The Rutherford County Communications Center has proven to be a valuable resource to the community handling hundreds of calls on a daily basis.

 

 

The Rutherford County Communication Center houses state of the art computer, phone and mapping systems, capable of handling multiple calls while ensuring prompt response. The Communications Center answers calls and dispatches for several agencies. They currently dispatch for all Rescue Squads within the County, Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency, all First Responder agencies associated with EMS and the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
