Election Day June 28, 2005

Hours Polls open- 7a.m. until 7 p.m.

All Murfreesboro City Polling locations open (see listing below)

City Residents who would normally vote outside the city limits in a county-wide election will be re-assigned and notified as to the nearest city election day polling place for this election only.

Early Voting dates, times and locations are as follows:

Early voting dates: June 13-23, 2005 :

          Times:  June 13-17, 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m.

                       Saturday June 18,  8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon

                       June 20-23, 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.

Early Voting Locations:     * Murfreesboro Sportscom, 2310 Memorial Blvd.

                                            * Rutherford County Election Commission Office

                                               1 Public Sq. South

Note:  City residents may vote at either ev location during the early voting period. You do not have to have a reason to vote early. However, voters must vote at their assigned polling location on Election Day.

Early voting election official training date is June 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Election Annex on Vine Street . Election Day poll worker training will be on June 27, 2005 . Machine operators training classes will be at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Officers and Registers are scheduled for training at 1:00 p.m.

Murfreesboro City Residents who are not currently registered to vote must register by May 31, 2005 to vote in the Murfreesboro Special Election. Registration forms received at the Rutherford County Election office at 1 Public Sq. S. with a May 31, 2005 post-mark will be accepted for registration. Forms received after May 31, 2005 will be processed after the election.
