Fortress Rosecrans Map

       This map is in our vertical files and is a copy of a map from the archives at the Stones River National Battlefield.  This map was made in 1865 by John Rziha, a Captain in the 19th United States Infantry.  He was working under the Inspector General of Fortifications, Military Division of Mississippi.  The map shows the fortifications and redoubts of Fortress Rosecrans as well as artillery ranges to certain landmarks including the Rutherford County courthouse.
